Determination of the immunogenic potential of molecules
The development of modern pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and food implies the availability of sensitive tests to analyze the immunogenicity of individual components.
On the other side more and more vaccines are developed to stimulate the immune system for treatment of a broad spectrum of diseases.
GLYCOTOPE offers a broad range of services in state-of-the-art techniques to test or optimize cellular and humoral responses in vitro and in vivo.
With our extensive experience in immunology, molecular biology and cell biology based on a vast range of different techniques in the areas of dendritic cell, T-cell, macrophage, NK cell, and NKT cell biology we offer customized solutions for the individual requirements of your project.
Comprising techniques are, for example ELISPOT analysis, T- and DC cytokine profiling, Tetramer staining, T-cell cloning, analysis for CTL activity and humoral responses (antibody titres, isotypes, specificities).
The immunomodulating affect of a product on the immune system is evaluated using mouse models, DNA Arrays and/or different cellular assays, including DC differentiation, maturation and antigen presentation, activation and functional modulation of T cells, NK cells or macrophages, effects on vitality, apoptosis and proliferation.
T cell epitopes of a drug or antigen are identified, validated and optimised T cell epitopes using cellular and molecular test systems including our standardized human dendritic cell line system NemodDC.
The potency of a vaccine is examined in mouse models determining humoral (antibody titres, isotypes, specificities) and cellular (DTH, antigen-specific T-cells) responses, including NOD-SCID mice reconstituted with human PBMC.
