Upstream Process Development (USP)

For an economic production of recombinant proteins it is essential to establish a robust process with high yields. Glycotope has a profound expertise because of its highly experienced staff and is equipped with state-of-the-art 8 x 2L, one 10L fermenter and a DASGIP system for the development of successful Upstream Processes (USP). Particular value resides within our capability to analyse in detail the glycosylation of the produced protein to ensure that the desired glycosylation is reproducibly maintained.

Downstream Process Development (DSP)

The quality of an active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) is essentially affected by the choice of the technologies to purify the API. The goal is to remove potential contaminants without changing structural or functional properties of the protein. Based on numerous successful development projects we gained years of experience and most recent technologies to maintain product characteristics, especially glycosylation patterns.
Once completed, processes can be transferred to our GMP facility at Glycotope Biotechnology.
